Google Reader, the most popular feed reader became white some time ago, but that's not the only annoyance about it. Here are a few Stylish and Greasemonkey scripts to make it blue again, the readable space wider, prefetch mode so the update is quicker and also add feed favicons that will make it look like in the picture on the left.This only works for Firefox and Opera (load it as a user script for Opera thus skipping step 1):
1. Install Greasemonkey and Stylish addons and restart Firefox.
2. Start installing the userscript and styles:
- make Google Reader blue again
- Google Reader - larger and serif plus wider
- Google Reader Prefetch More
- Google Reader Favicon ++
Now refresh Google Reader and behold the miracle: Google Reader is blue again, you have favicons on feeds, wider space for the articles and prefetch mode.
