Blogger does not send trackbacks by default which is really a pain in the ass. But you can tweak this using a Greasemonkey script:
-For the New Blogger: http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/6842
-For classic Blogger: http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/4712
This trackback Greasemonkey script adds a custom field below your Title and above the Body of a new post, like this:
-For the New Blogger: http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/6842
-For classic Blogger: http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/4712
This trackback Greasemonkey script adds a custom field below your Title and above the Body of a new post, like this:
where all you have to do is write the link where you want to send the trackback. Please note that for example, to send a trackback to a Wordpress blog, you will have to write the url followd by "/trackback", like so: http://mywordpressblog.com/09/2009/mypost/trackback
After posting, you will see a message saying that a trackback is currently being sent and you will be notified if it was successful or not, and why.
But this user script doesn't do just that, but also helps keep your notes in sync with your Del.icio.us categories according to the tags you used. Also, if you go to http://pingoat.com/ and/or http://pingomatic.com/, http://pinger.blogflux.com/, http://nyligen.se/pinga.php or http://svensk.lemonad.org/pingman.php after installing this script, and point either ping tool to your blog, you will get additional links here from your publish pages. Note that you need to do this for every blog you want links to separately (figuring you might want to change options for where to ping posts for each blog). Clicking these additional icons will ping the appropriate site, flashing the icon while doing so. If the flashing stops on a semi-transparent button, the pinging failed, if it stops in a solid state, it was successful. The URLs of the "Details..." view also get made into clickable URLs.
