If you are a Web Upd8 reader, you already know about Swiftfox (yes, we are fans here at Web Upd8) which is an optimized Firefox build for Linux. But what if you use Windows? The same as Swiftfox, there are some optimized builds of Firefox for Windows too, and work the same way: different builds depending on your processor. The following Firefox 3.5 builds (current version: 3.5.3) reduce memory and CPU usage and improve speed:
After downloading, simply extract the archive contents into the folder where you have installed the normal Firefox build.
Firefox optimized builds are provided by pigfoot's weblog (you should find later Firefox version there - check after Mozilla releases new Firefox versions).
