SopCast Player features an integrated video player, a channel guide, and bookmarks. Once SopCast Player is installed it simply "just works" with no required configuration.

If you haven't installed the medibuntu repository you should do so before installing SopCast Player, without it you will be unable to satisfy the VLC requirement. To add the Medibuntu repository, run the following commands in a terminal (for Ubuntu Karmic):
sudo wget http://www.medibuntu.org/sources.list.d/karmic.list --output-document=/etc/apt/sources.list.d/medibuntu.list
sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install medibuntu-keyring && sudo apt-get update




If you see a message about an unsatisfiable dependency you will need to install one more package before you can continue
    • For 32-bit operating systems install this package
    • For 64-bit operating systems install this package
