Grub Customizer is a new graphical GRUB2 settings manager which we've told you about last week.
Immediately after we published the Grub Customizer article, a new version was released which added BURG support so if you've read that article as soon as we've posted it, you might have missed this feature.
Grub Customizer 1.5 which has been released today comes with a cool new feature: Grub recovery & configuration using a live CD:
All the file systems you need will be mounted after choosing the root partition and some sub partitions.
Version 1.5 also comes with a Grub install functionality and a new icon.
To install Grub Customizer 1.5, use the following commands:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:danielrichter2007/grub-customizer
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install grub-customizer
Once installed, you can find it under Applications > System Tools > Grub Customizer.
Note: I did not test the latest Grub Customizer features as I don't need to recover Grub (fortunately).
