VLC 1.1.5 has been released yesterday, introducing some small features and bug fixes.
One of the most interesting new features in VLC 1.1.5 is the addition of 1000 Web-shows listing integrated inside VLC's playlist, provided by Channels.com. These can be accessed by going to View > Playlist > Internet:
Other changes include Game Music Emu (GME) and live .webm streams support, codecs updates, miscellaneous fixes on all interfaces, demuxers and decoders modules.
Update 16 Nov: I've removed the n-muench PPA in this post because the person maintaining the PPA uploaded FFmpeg 0.6.1 after I've published the post, as you can see HERE. Upgrading to FFmpeg 0.6.1 will break a lot of stuff so I advise you to remove the PPA and not upgrade to FFmpeg 0.6.1. If you've used this yesterday, VLC will work, but remove the PPA anyway and do not upgrade FFmpeg! Use GetDeb to get the latest VLC instead (when it will be uploaded) or use the LFFL PPA (which looks ok for now, however I am not responsible for any later uploads) for Ubuntu Maverick:
For Ubuntu Lucid, you can use Guiodic's PPA (not tested!): guiodiclucid
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ferramroberto/vlc
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install vlc
For Ubuntu Lucid, you can use Guiodic's PPA (not tested!): guiodiclucid
